undertake all activities such as taking under control, monitoring and minimizing of the environmental impacts caused by our manufacturing process in an environmentally conscious manner in collaboration of our employees.

In this context, we keep under control all manufacturing processes regarding the said production activities also during the product’s useful life span.

Established and maintained in participation of our top level management and employees, our environmental management system has been qualified for the “ISO 14001:2004” Environmental System Certification upon the system audit conducted by the Bureau Veritas certifying body during 2006.

 SOM Fastener has adopted as its basic principle the social responsibility and environmental awareness through its effective environmental policy.

 ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

As an environmental friendly business organization fully aware of its social responsibilities, we undertake to 

• Plan and implement our business and manufacturing process in such manner to avoid environmental pollution based on the continuous development and optimization principle,
• Keep under control the recycling of any harmful and pollutant emissions and waste possible to arise during the press and thread-cutting process as well as further activities which may be harmful to the environment,
• Take under control the environmental impact during use and at the end of the lifespan of nuts manufactured,
• Use natural resources and ensure the use of recyclable materials effectively,
• Implement studies and optimization processes intended for increased environmental awareness of both our employees and suppliers,
• Abide by the legal responsibilities with respect to environmental consequences, as the basic principles of our environmental policy and proceed in consideration of these aspects at every single stage of our activity.
